A lump of coal . . .

So our big announcement of playing a possible one time show has been foiled by the weather. Alan Blackman has been stuck in Seattle since Monday when he was supposed to fly home for the holidays. The airline says he can fly out on Christmas Day and arrive in Burlington at midnight, missing both Christmas Eve and Day with his family. While he could feasibly make it to Rochester to play, he is coming home to spend time with family, not play a hardcore show. The show will rip with or without us.

These things happen and there isn't much we can do. This doesn't meant we'll never play a show and it may give us time to write more songs. Who knows. Either way, enjoy your holiday whereever you are and however you spend it.

Lastly, we will be posting lyrics soon.

Your friends,

Wyld Times 2008

This project came together out of a conversation (or maybe a joke depending on how you look a it) between 2 of us over instant messenger. It turned into a way for 4 friends to write some fun music and hang out for a weekend. We are a collaboration with two members each of the (now defunct) bands How We Are and From The Ground Up. Nothing ground breaking or breath taking, but music that we wrote none-the-less. Just 4 dudes who got together and wrote some fun hardcore.

We plays what:
Alan Blackman - Guitar
John Twentyfive - Bass
Rory VanGrol - Vocals
Alex Pond - Drums

The 4 song WYLD TIMES 2008 demo is available here:
4. Home

We wrote the songs in June. Alan and Alex recorded guitar and drums in July. John recorded bass in August and Rory did vocals in November. We don't have plans to make hard copies of the demo, but if you are really interested, get in touch and we can work something out.

The stars have aligned or maybe our dunks are in a row, but on Friday, December 26th we are getting a chance to play a show in Rochester. Two of us live in Seattle, the other two live on the East Coast, so if you dig it or are just our friend, come hang out. It may be the only show we play. It may not be. But if you want to see us, try not to miss it in case this is a one time only performance.
